Face masks combine different ingredients, which together have different beneficial effects on the skin.

Moisturise and nourish: many facials use ingredients such as honey, avocado, banana or sour cream, which are rich in nutrients and moisture. These substances help to hydrate and nourish the skin, making it more supple and soft.

Skin cleansing: Many cleansers contain cleansing ingredients such as lemon juice, apple cider vinegar or tea tree oil to help remove impurities, excess sebum and other substances deposited on the skin. This helps to clean the pores and reduces the chance of acne breakouts.

Reducing inflammation and soothing the skin: for example, turmeric or green tea have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and inflammation. In addition, ingredients such as clays can help soothe and balance the skin.

Skin regeneration and radiance: Carrots, for example, are rich in beta-carotene, which helps to regenerate the skin and improve its appearance. Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice can help to fade skin blemishes and enhance skin radiance.

Tightening pores: apple cider vinegar or tea tree oil can help tighten pores, which can reduce the visibility of pores and prevent the build-up of impurities.

Cold compress: you can use some fresh ingredients, such as cucumber slices placed on the face (helps reduce swelling and refreshes the skin), or cold yoghurt spread on the face for a few minutes (moisturises and soothes).
