An anti-inflammatory diet and lifestyle are needed to prevent gallstones from developing.
First, watch this video showing the symptoms of gallstones!
This diet consists of fruits and vegetables, as well as products from grass-fed animals and healthy sources of fat such as avocado, coconut and olive oil. The gallstone diet can be very important as it can help a lot in reducing symptoms and driving away gallstones.
Cheese made from the milk of cows and goats fed on hay is an important part of the diet because it is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins D3 and K2. Vitamins K2 and D3 help regulate calcium metabolism and together they inhibit gallstone formation.
Foods rich in organic acids and natural enzymes are particularly important for the entire digestive system, including the liver and gallbladder.
These foods include apple cider vinegar, freshly squeezed lemon, lime, kombucha, kimchi, red and sauerkraut. Raw fermented dairy products enriched with probiotics such as whey and kefir are extremely beneficial. Fresh vegetable and fruit juices can provide the body with essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants. Apple juice has a beneficial effect against gallstones thanks to the pectin it contains. Pectin may be able to soften and dissolve gallstones, thus contributing greatly to the prevention of the formation of new stones.
Treatment of gallstones can be done at home, but it is always advisable to see a doctor.
Anyone with suspected gallstones should eat a liquid diet with plenty of water and lemon juice, fermented whey and vegetable juice. Limit solid food consumption and eat very moderate doses of anti-inflammatory foods. There are also natural ways to treat gallstones, and here are some of the ways we recommend.
Peppermint has long been used as a stomach soother and digestive stimulant. It helps to produce substances needed for digestion and stimulates the bile. It also contains a substance called terpene which helps to dissolve gallstones. Can also reduce gallstones. A small amount of peppermint tea should be flavoured with a little honey and sipped warm 2-3 times a day.
Plantain seed husks are also often recommended for indigestion and constipation.
It has a high fibre content and therefore stimulates the intestines. Just add 1 tablespoon of plantain seed coat powder to water or some juice. Mix well and drink it. Consume 2 times a day for at least 2-3 weeks.
Dandelion can also be used to help “dissolve gallstones naturally”.
Dandelion contains an active substance called taraxacin which helps to balance the production of bile. It detoxifies and stimulates the liver, helping to get rid of accumulated fats. Just boil a teaspoon of dried dandelion root in 2.5 dl of water, cover and leave to steep, then strain. You can also sweeten it with a little honey.
Apple cider vinegar for gallstones:
mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 1 glass of apple juice or possibly lukewarm water and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. It is recommended to use it as a cure for several weeks. The effect of apple cider vinegar on gallstones can be really beneficial, as it has anti-inflammatory as well as analgesic properties. However, it is important to remember that whatever you use, dilute the apple cider vinegar each time.
It is also possible to cure gallstones naturally with medical intervention and help.
Nowadays, gallstone extractions are becoming more and more common. Gallstone removal is a procedure in which gallstones are destroyed or crushed into small pieces to make them easier to excrete from the body.
What is recommended for the bile diet?
Low-fat diet: in a bile diet, the diet usually includes foods low in fat. Fats increase the contraction of the gallbladder and therefore increase the risk of stone formation.
Split meals: Meals should be smaller but more frequent so as not to overload the digestive system and to avoid excessive fluctuations in gallbladder contractions.
Vegetables and fruit: These foods are usually high in fibre, which can help maintain normal digestion.
Wholegrains: These types of foods are also rich in fibre and can contribute to digestive health.
Less processed food: pre-packaged, processed foods tend to be high in fat and salt, so it’s best to avoid them.
